Privacy Policy

Web Diff Learning ("the Service") is a public-page comparison tool. This page explains, in plain language, what we collect and what we deliberately do not collect. We try to keep this short.
1. What we do not collect
- We do not collect your name, address, phone number, or any government identifier.
- We do not verify that any email address you enter belongs to you.
- We do not store the content of the public pages you ask us to compare. Each request is processed in memory and discarded after the response.
- We do not store or persist the API keys you enter for the optional knowledge-graph feature. The key exists only in your browser tab memory and is never written to disk, logs, cookies, or downloads.
- We do not use third-party analytics, ad networks, or behaviour-tracking SDKs (no Google Analytics, Clarity, Plausible, Umami, Meta pixel, etc.).
2. What we do collect
- The two URLs you submit — transmitted in the request body, used only to fetch the public pages, then discarded.
- An email address you optionally enter — used to mint a signed HttpOnly cookie named
diff_member. The email is not validated, not sent to any third party, and is not retained beyond the cookie lifetime (24 hours). - Cloudflare Workers structured logs — standard request metadata (timestamp, status code, hostname, response time). Query strings are explicitly redacted by our Wrangler configuration.
3. Cookies
The Service uses exactly one cookie:
diff_member— a signed (HMAC-SHA256) cookie carrying the membership payload. Attributes:HttpOnly,SameSite=Strict,Path=/,Max-Age=86400(24 hours). On HTTPS,Secureis also set. It is a functional cookie — it does not track you across sites, and it is required to use the knowledge-graph endpoints. You may clear it by clicking "Sign out" or by clearing browser data.
4. Third-party services
- Cloudflare Workers + Static Assets hosts and runs the Service. Cloudflare may see the request metadata listed in §2.
- If you choose to use the knowledge-graph feature, your request is forwarded to the OpenAI-compatible endpoint you supply. That exchange happens between your browser, our Worker, and your chosen endpoint. We do not endorse, store, or proxy those endpoints.
- No other third party receives your data through this Service.
5. Data retention
We do not maintain user accounts, history, or analytics databases. The only persistent artefact is the membership cookie, which expires after 24 hours or on logout. Logs are retained by Cloudflare per its standard policy.
6. Children
The Service is a general-purpose tool and is not directed to children under 13.
7. Your rights
Because we do not retain your submitted URLs or your API keys beyond the request, there is generally nothing to export or delete. If you want your signed cookie cleared immediately, click "Sign out" on the home page or clear site data in your browser.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this page to reflect operational changes. The "Effective" date at the top will move when the content changes materially.

The Service extracts content from public pages you submit. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to copy or compare the content of any page you submit. We do not endorse the content and provide no warranty of accuracy.
